What do you enjoy most about working at Trinity College?

The very warm environment, structured work approach, approachable colleagues, the beautiful office, and so on.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A doctor, but I went on to become an academic!

What was your favourite subject at school?

English, as I was very good at it.

Has there been a pivotal moment in your life?

My marriage, it changed my whole life completely and turned me into a happier and better human being.

What’s an interesting story from your life or travels you’d like to share?

I am the first person among all my relatives to be married to a person who is not from the same country as I am (Bangladesh), and we knew each other in another country, which is our second home (Australia). To say the least, he is the smartest person I have ever met in my life and I have learned many things from him. One interesting thing about our marriage is we communicate in multiple languages at home and can understand each other’s native languages to a good extent!

If you could go on a return trip to any point in time in the past or future, where would you go?

I would want to visit the day I was born. I want to experience the joy of my family as I was born after a long time into my parents’ marriage!

What’s the most valuable piece of advice you’ve been given?

Let it be, don’t overstress.

What would make the world a better place?

People being responsible.

Which activities make you lose track of time?

My work!

What is your life philosophy?

Be a better version of yourself and uphold others too.
