Meet our TCAC student committee for 2025

The Trinity College Associated Clubs (TCAC) is Trinity’s main student association, which represents the student body and drives student initiatives and events. Meet the group who will be stepping into TCAC leadership roles for 2025.

Senior Student: Isaac Hucker

Isaac Hucker, Trinity's Senior Student for 2025

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

For me, I think the key responsibility is being reflective of everyone’s views and beliefs. Senior Student can seem like a basic role but it’s about echoing those that may not feel like they have a voice at college. I want to work with and alongside those people and let them know that they’re really valued within our college.

Another role of the Senior Student is enhancing everyone’s experience at Trinity in any way shape or form, whether that’s through education, sport, or our clubs and societies. By working with these groups and the Trinity College administration team, we can get more transparency through the student body.

At the end of the day, I’m here for the students and trying to help everyone out where I can.

Why did you apply for your position?

Being the first Indigenous Senior Student of Trinity College attracted me to the role a lot, but I also thought I could offer a unique leadership style. Our previous Senior Student, Peter Logue, did a great job and inspired me to go for the role, but I was also excited to take on a leadership role that I understood people looked up to.

I want to be a person that people can reach out to with their issues and know they have my full backing and support. I think being that person was what I aimed to do and why I went for it.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

One thing I’m looking to do is create a branch between Trinity’s administration and our students in terms of communicating issues and having a clear representation of students’ values and beliefs at the college. I’m looking forward to helping all the new freshers that are coming in and fostering an environment where they feel safe and included.

At the end of the day, everyone chose Trinity College for where we are and who we are but it’s our students who make the experience, so I want to make sure everyone understands this and I am reflective of our cohort.

Treasurer: Hamish Devonshire

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

Treasurer is a very defined role and an executive member of the TCAC. I manage the financial account for the TCAC and create a major budget for the year, which is then allocated to events, corridors, and various committees.

So, there’s that aspect of being in the budget but then I also head up the reimbursement system at Trinity and pay the invoices. Basically, anything that has a dollar sign attached to it, I oversee.

My secondary role is trying to find ways for the TCAC to financially improve and be a liaison with administration and see where they can assist with funding.

Why did you apply for your position?

I went for the role because I wanted to give back to the college. Trinity has done a lot for me, and I want to do what I can to improve it for others to come because the people are what have made my college experience so good.

Also, someone has to do the role, and I think I have the skills and mindset to take on such an intense role and a committee where there’s a lot of service and sacrifice. The past few weeks even has felt like a full-time job at some points.

I considered taking the role for a long time but ultimately, I was motivated to go for the role because of what Trinity’s meant for me and I thought that Treasurer was one of the roles that would most align with my skills and interests.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I’m excited for the TCAC retreat and being part of O Week. Getting to organise events is very novel and something few people get to experience at college, and you can bond with the committees through that.

I think going forward in the role, the most appealing thing to me is collaborating further with administration and having conversations with them about how we can use money efficiently and deliver the best experience to everyone here.

Social Secretary: Rosie Bradford

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

As Social Secretary, I oversee the social calendar for the year, including all our internal and external events related to the residential college. The most important event is the Trinity Ball, which is our biggest annual event of the year.

I’m also the constitutional director of the Trinity College clubs and societies, where I hold the elections for roles within those groups and oversee their progress throughout the year. I also run and take minutes for the weekly TCAC meetings.

Why did you apply for your position?

I’m passionate about the college and I really wanted to give back to the community. Social Secretary also best aligns with my interests, and I really enjoy organising and planning events where everyone can have a great time.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I’m really excited for our annual Trinity Ball and to put my creativity towards making it a really fun and wonderful event.

Indoor Representative: Kody Roth

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

My role has three key divisions, being properties and facilities, food, and merchandise.

Merchandise is both personal and for the college sports teams, which I organise in collaboration with the Sports Representatives.

Food is making sure that everyone at Trinity is happy with the food they’re being served and working with the kitchen to achieve this.

Properties and facilities are the upkeep of things like vending machines and the different college common spaces, which could include the introduction of new common spaces and the upkeep of ones that maybe aren’t as loved.

Then within TCAC, the Indoor Rep doesn’t have a large event throughout the year to organise so I’m looking to support the other roles and build connections with them because I feel like I can do a lot more to help everyone.

Why did you apply for your position?

I was looking at spicing up my third year at Trinity because I believed that if I wanted to stay a third year, I’d want something more to do and to help give back to the community.

I think the reason Indoor Representative appealed to me to most is I think it’s one of the more creative roles. You can have fun with this role and even though I’m a science student, I’ve always enjoyed design and being creative and I think this role, especially the merchandise aspect, allows me to explore that.

I also think it’s fun and great to work with other people and build relationships and communication skills.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I’m super excited to fill the gaps with a few sports teams’ jerseys. I know the basketball team would like one. I’m also very excited for the TCAC retreat and doing all the college events for the final time.

Community Representative: Lam Pham

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

The role of Community Representative revolves around promoting students' wellbeing, fostering inclusivity and a sense of belonging within the community, and promoting initiatives and volunteering opportunities to contribute to the wider community.

I am also involved in the Wellbeing and Inclusivity Committee and the Outreach Committee, which serve as mediums to promote students’ wellbeing and volunteering opportunities, respectively.

Why did you apply for your position?

I applied for this role not only to give back what Trinity has given me over the past two years, but also to foster a community and environment where everyone feels included, valued, heard, and proud to call Trinity their home.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I’m looking forward to creating more opportunities for all students to give back, not just to Trinity but also the wider community. These initiatives will not only bring people together within the Trinity community, but also strengthen Trinity's connection to the broader community.

I will also ensure that students' health and wellbeing remain our utmost priority. Everyone should feel safe and valued in their home and with access to wellbeing support when needed.

Arts Representative: Sam Prins

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

Trinity College offers numerous extracurriculars, clubs, societies and events that I as Arts Representative facilitate and oversee. The mass of the role overshadows the production of a musical in semester 1 and a play in semester 2, as part of the Trinity College Dramatic Society.

The main large-scale event that is held through the arts is the Arts Gala, which aims to celebrate and honour the artistic talent of our residential students in all mediums and styles.

A large part of the role is building a culture that allows creatives to flourish in an environment that commemorates and welcomes artistic expression – through informal and formal proceeds of visual art, music, dance, drama, and performance.

Why did you apply for your position?

The arts have always made me feel welcomed, captivated and gratified. Having contributed to many aspects of Trinity’s artistic opportunities over my past two years of residence, I applied for this position out of passion and excitement, to cultivate and create something special out of an already highly established community. The arts are something that I hold high confidence in, and is an area that I believe I can give back to the college in, whilst also achieving fulfillment and identity through the role.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

The Trinity College musical and play have been phenomenal successes over the past two years, under the sensational leadership of Clare Wever and Francis Heath.

I aim to cultivate two mass-scale productions that can capture not only the artistic talent we hold here at Trinity but also the community and morality that we uphold within the college.

I hope to create something I am proud of through other opportunities like the Arts Gala, and provide support to not only overlooked areas of the arts, but also our pre-existing artistic-led clubs such as the Tiger Tones and Candystripes (our men’s and women’s a cappella groups), leaving Trinity strong and thriving in every aspect of the arts.

Female Sports Representative: Natarsha Madden

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

My role is pretty much making sure all intercollegiate sports are running smoothly and promoting sport in our community, including social sport and building our inter-corridor sport culture. I also see that all uniforms, equipment, and general logistics are taken care of and organise our rowing event Shums and the Trinity Sports Ball in semester 2.

Why did you apply for your position?

I love sport at Trinity, it’s been huge in my journey, and that was probably the major reason I really integrated into the community. For me it’s a huge part of my life. I want to make sport accessible to everyone but also I know that sport is a pivotal part in college life and I want to make sure that everyone makes the most of it and feels as though they can participate no matter what.

I want to create a community of sport that everyone can be a part of that’s not just limited to the intercollegiate sports. I want sports to be seen as bigger than that and I also think being a leader of the community is something I thought would be a great way to give back because I have enjoyed my time at Trinity so much.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I’m very excited to organise Shums and see behind the scenes but to also incorporate a few new things we are working on. On the TCAC, there are only eight of us that get this view of everything and I’m excited to see and understand how Trinity works.

Male Sports Representative: Deegan Craig-Peters

What are the key responsibilities of your role?

I believe as Sports Representative, the key responsibility is to foster a welcoming and positive culture in our college’s sports. Also, supporting our athletes through providing equipment, support at games and guidance through the sporting year are key.

Finally, I want to celebrate and promote sport at Trinity as it is a big outlet for students to engage and grow within our community.

Why did you apply for your position?

I applied for the position as I believe the biggest contribution that Trinity has made to my life has been through sport and my eagerness to be involved in the area. Sport in general has been the biggest influence in my life and is a key characteristic of who I am. I want to pass on the opportunity for others to make memories and connections as I have, and I knew it could be done in this role.

What are you looking forward to doing in your role?

I am looking forward to building a strong and supportive sporting community at college, where everyone has equal opportunity to be involved, and we can all share our passion for sport.
