Trinity College Theological School has partnered with the St James' Institute to offer a number of short-course intensive subjects for credit or audit.
Since 2020, Trinity College Theological School has partnered with the St James' Institute to offer subjects in theology through the Trinity in Sydney program, taught as intensive classes at St James'. This has been a successful partnership as there is a desire among many Anglicans in Sydney for the type of theological education offered at Trinity College.
Trinity in Sydney subjects may be taken for credit towards a University of Divinity undergraduate or postgraduate degree or award. For those not currently enrolled at the University of Divinity, anyone can enrol as an audit (non-credit) student.
Members of the St James' Institute are entitled to the discounted audit rate. Students from other theological colleges may be able to enrol for credit in Trinity in Sydney subjects as a cross-institutional student.
Please contact your home institution and tcts@trinity.edu.au to explore this option.

We have an exciting line up in store for the 2025 academic year.
This unit explores the portrayal of Jesus in modern film. This unit will also foster a critical awareness of how Jesus films influence viewers’ perceptions about Jesus and the early Jesus movement.

This unit equips students to critically analyse the use of the Bible in ecological discourse and interpret key biblical texts in conversation with wider wisdom regarding the relationship between Creator and Creation (including Indigenous wisdom and scientific discourse) to enable robust application. Engaging with concepts of ecological justice, students will consequently develop an eco-theology for local contexts and articulate holistic, hopeful and collaborative action for today.
