The Choir will be accompanied by four outstanding vocal soloists: Amy Moore, soprano; Max Riebl, counter-tenor; Richard Butler, tenor; and Oliver Mann, bass.
We are especially proud to welcome back Max Riebl, who is a former member of the Trinity Choir.
Messiah is a work of great beauty, and carries with it a powerful message of inspiration and sacrifice, which for many is an important part of their personal worship and reflection each year.
The Choir will be conducted by Andrew Wailes, who has a strong reputation as one of Australia’s leading young conductors specialising in symphonic choral repertoire.
‘I’m thrilled to be conducting this special Easter performance of Messiah with the wonderful Trinity College Choir and such a talented cast of soloists,’ says Andrew.
‘I have thoroughly enjoyed the chance to work with these excellent singers on such a seminal work, and look forward to leading them at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
‘I am sure it will provide many Melbournians with a rare chance to hear this outstanding ensemble in concert outside their more familiar Chapel surrounds.’
When: 7.30pm, 9 April 2016
Where: Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre
