Gayle Allan is the Deputy Dean of the Residential College and is responsible for the overall academic life and student welfare in the Residential College. Gayle was previously a Literature lecturer in the College's Foundation Studies Programme before taking up her current position in 2015. Gayle's PhD thesis is on representations of women’s jealousy in Shakespeare’s plays and her research interests include Shakespeare and early modern drama, film and adaptation theory, feminist and post-colonial studies, Gothic literature and eLearning. Gayle has published a number of articles in these fields and regularly attends and speaks at national and international conferences. She also guest lectures at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. Gayle co-edits the Marlowe Biliography On-line, and is a committee member of ANZSA (Australia and New Zealand Shakespeare Association) where she co-edits their bulletin.
