Trinity's Australian Youth Ambassador

Joanna Bunting (TC 2000), has been accepted to take part in the AusAID funded Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development program, and will spend a year in Samoa working as a Policy Analyst and Research Officer at the Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commencing on 29 July 2011.

The Youth Ambassadors Development program provides opportunities for young Australians to undertake short-term placements in developing countries to share their skills and experiences, and work side-by-side with locals in a range of different fields.

Joanna said she was delighted to be accepted in to the Youth Ambassadors program, which will provide her with life-changing experiences.

‘It’s an incredible opportunity and something that Trinity students could look to take part in when they graduate from their studies – it’s going to be an amazing year.’

Joanna was a former residential student at Trinity and finished a double degree in Arts/Science before studying for her Honours degree in 2005. She then entered the Australian Public Service in Canberra as part of the graduate recruitment program in 2006.
