Trinity Welcomes Scott Charles

The Warden, Professor Andrew McGowan, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Scott Charles (TC 1986) as Director of Advancement and to the related role of Executive Director of the Trinity College Foundation.

Scott Charles (pictured left) has been associated with the College for over twenty-five years, first as a resident student from 1986 to 1989—serving as Senior Student in his final year—and as a resident tutor in 1996.

Scott holds Bachelor of Building and Bachelor of Planning and Design degrees from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Engineering qualification from RMIT. For thirteen years, Scott worked in various roles for Mars Confectionary, including as National Business Manager of Customer Marketing. Since 2010, Scott has been Managing Director of his own consulting companies, Winning Feeling Pty Ltd and Health Enterprises Pty Ltd.

Professor McGowan confirmed that the College had “hoped to find a new Director of Advancement who loved the College as much as Scott Charles did,” and was pleased when Scott appeared as one of a strong field who applied for the position. “Scott brings to the role a trifecta of passion for the College, impressive business acumen, and a rich knowledge of our alumni base around the world,” the Warden said.

Scott is married to Stephanie and has three young children. He will commence his role with Trinity immediately.
