Transforming the Trinity Dining Hall

In December 2011, renovations began to transform the Trinity College Dining Hall to preserve its heritage so it can be enjoyed for many years to come.

Here is an overview of some of the refurbishments to date:

  • Starlight Room removed (room between the kitchen and the Dining Hall)
  • Dining Hall floor removed and foundations laid for the new floor
  • kitchen completely excavated – concrete floor slab removed
  • all kitchen fridges removed
  • Advancement Office demolished
  • walkway between Leeper Building and Dining Hall demolished
  • plumbing commenced for new Dining Hall facilities
  • Leeper chimneys reconstructed and preserved.

There is still much work to be done – join us to be part of this transforming project.
