Celebrating 40 years of co-residency

In 2014, Trinity celebrates 40 years of women and men in residency together at the College, and 131 years of co-education.

Trinity College is proud to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the admission of female students to full co-residence with men.

In 1974, eight women joined the residential community, and this figure grew rapidly to its present level of just over 50 percent of our total of 300 residents, a ratio roughly equivalent to that of the total University cohort.

Trinity College is committed to the ideals of inclusivity, equity and opportunity, and the past 40 years has been a testament to our desire to offer the Trinity experience to as wide and as diverse a range of students as possible.

CELEBRATING IN 2014

To celebrate this significant milestone, the College will be holding a black-tie dinner on Friday 12 September at the Melbourne Town Hall.

We will be sending invitations to alumni, donors, parents, students and friends of the College in due course. Please save the date.
