We've always moved around a lot as a result of Dad's work, for instance before we came back to Melbourne we lived in Singapore and prior to that London. Now they've gone to the Netherlands, which is actually pretty cool, but it meant that I had to find a place to live if I wanted to continue studying in Australia. To be honest, I actually didn’t know Trinity existed until the Melbourne Uni Open Day, but as soon as I saw the place I pretty much knew this was where I wanted to end up in the following year.
The concept of “living-in” is something quite unique for me. One of the most interesting experiences that I wouldn’t have otherwise been exposed to is that of meeting so many new and exciting people, a number of whom are from all across the world.
Everyone here is just so amazingly friendly. It’s quite a strange and yet incredibly warming thought to realise that only a couple of weeks ago I didn’t know a single other person here, and now I think one or two of them might actually like me! It truly is such a disarming reflection though, and to a new student, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend your university years, or at least your first couple!
